And The Winner Is...

Darlene Jensen Come On Down… The Aisles of The Home Depot with Joey Logano!

Get To Know JoeyOmaha, Neb. (September 2, 2009) — She entered just once, but 75-year-old Darlene Jensen won a $2,000 shopping spree at her local The Home Depot store after answering questions about 19-year-old driver of the No. 20 Home Depot Toyota Joey Logano. Jensen, who was born and raised in Omaha, Neb., won the "Get to Know Logano" sweepstakes run on www.homedepotracing.com. Jensen was randomly chosen out of over 80,000 entrants to win the shopping spree with an assistant buyer - Logano.

Logano picked Jensen up from her home on Wednesday in Omaha, drove her to The Home Depot Store to begin her shopping extravaganza. The pair had lunch prepared by a store associate on a new Weber Grill, only to find out from Logano that the grill was now hers. The duo of Logano and Jensen then climbed on a golf cart decaled to look like his No. 20 Toyota to begin the shopping spree. The first place Jensen wanted to go, "I need a chainsaw," she said.

To Jensen's surprise along the way The Home Depot associates from store #3201 set up three "Price is Right" style games where she could win additional products. Her first stop was a Plinko board. Jensen and Logano correctly arranged five numbers to match the cost of a lawnmower to earn five chips she could take to the Plinko board. Out of the five possible prizes, Jensen walked away with four including the $197 lawnmower.

After picking out her Homelite chainsaw and a new stove, the pair paused for a pit stop at the "Hole in One" game for the chance to win an additional $100 gift card. Logano and Jensen struggled placing five items in order of lowest to highest priced. They did get two correct and she moved up two lines on the miniature golf course hole set up in the kitchen department. Jensen got two shots to make the putt, but just missed them both.

Joey Logano and Darlene JensenNext up on Jensen's list were a new GE hot water heater for her home and a heavy duty camera. Logano then drove her through the paint department to pick out some stain before making their final stop of the day to play, "More or Less." Jensen correctly identified all five products mismarked by letting the associate know if the actual price was higher or lower than the price shown.

Jensen and Logano were all smiles as the shopping spree ended and the pair drove to the stage to see the success of their excursion. After the store associates added up the items she purchased from the $2,000 sweepstakes award and the prizes from the games, Jensen left The Home Depot Store with over $3,700 in home improvement merchandise. Logano signed autographs for the store associates before heading to the airport.

Logano will try and win his own prize this weekend, the Pep Boys 500 trophy at Atlanta Motor Speedway. Meanwhile somewhere back in Omaha, a woman named Darlene Jensen may be cooking up some food on her new range to sit back and watch the young man she just met wheel a 3,600 pound stock car around the track instead of a golf cart down aisle six.
