Las Vegas, Nev. (Feb. 28, 2010) – Joey Logano may not be able to enjoy the casinos and night life in Las Vegas, but he certainly enjoyed racing at Las Vegas Motor Speedway (LVMS). Logano and The Home Depot Team earned their second-consecutive top-10 finish of the season with a sixth-place finish at LVMS. The effort moved Logano and the team up to eighth in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series standings after three races.

"Another great Home Depot Toyota!" said Logano. "That's two weeks in a row; I am really excited about that. I tell you, you keep getting top 10s and closer to the top five; eventually the wins are going to come. I'm pretty pumped up about how we did here. We didn't start the race that good, but to come back at the end and get a solid top 10 is awesome. I almost had Matt (Kenseth) there coming to the line for fifth place."

Logano and The Home Depot Team had a solid qualifying effort on Friday and earned the sixth spot for the start of the 400-mile race. The No. 20 Toyota Camry was extremely loose on the first run of the day, and Logano was losing a lot of ground to his competitors coming off turn four. When the caution flag waved on lap 45, Logano brought the Home Depot Toyota down pit road for service while running in the 13th position. The crew changed four tires, made a trackbar adjustment and packed the car full of fuel while gaining three spots on pit road. Racing resumed on lap 52 with Logano in 10th.

Logano had two close calls on the track, one right after the other. He was running behind the No. 42 and No. 1 cars on lap 93 when they got together and he was able to slip by unscathed. Then on lap 108 Logano almost got into the back of Mark Martin when the caution lights malfunctioned by turning on without cause. Martin slowed quickly in front of Logano forcing the driver of the Home Depot Toyota to take quick and evasive action.

Zipadelli and The Home Depot Team continued to fine tune the No. 20 Toyota with Logano's feedback. By lap 206, Logano was running in the 10h position with only 11 cars remaining on the lead lap after a round of green-flag pit stops on lap 163. A second round of green-flag stops occurred on lap 214. Logano pitted with the leaders and the team's quick stop kept Logano on the lead lap until the caution flag was finally displayed on lap 228. Logano came down pit road to fix a tight condition he was now feeling in the Home Depot Toyota. After a chassis adjustment and tires, he was back out onto the track and running in the top 10.

Logano restarted from the 10th position with less than 40 laps remaining and quickly maneuvered his way up to eighth. He was able to get up to the sixth spot and put a charge on the fifth-place driver Matt Kenseth. The two battled door-to-door over the closing laps, but Kenseth crossed the line just in front of Logano. For the second week in a row, Logano and The Home Depot crew were the top-finishing Toyota team. The sixth-place finish also moved them up one spot to eighth (the highest ranking Joe Gibbs Racing car) in the Sprint Cup standings. Logano's teammates Kyle Busch and Denny Hamlin finished 15th and 19th respectively.

Up next for Logano and the No. 20 Home Depot Team is the Atlanta 500 at Atlanta Motor Speedway next Sunday. The race begins at 1 p.m. ET with television coverage on FOX television and PRN radio.
